This is the shopping and Art Nouveau district, full of decorative and stucco work and large, elegant boulevards, adorned with timeless aristocratic villas. Not to be missed: the Passeggiata from Piazza Croci along Viale della Liberà, followed by the Teatro Politeama, Via Ruggero Settimo and the elegant Via Principe di Belmonte and its elegant cafés.
On the border between the chic and Capo districts is Piazza Verdi with its majestic Teatro Massimo.
